Today I am entering my first collage challenge over at Green Paper. I've wanted to try this before but didn't. I would look to see how others went about it but found that just paralyzed my imagination. My new rule for my Collage Club and now this challenge is not to look at anyone's work and just see what I come up with on my own. This works so much better for me because then I know it is totally my creation. Then I can enjoy looking at the other artist's work after I've uploaded mine. For this challenge, Mary provides you with three images. You then create a piece of art that uses at least a part of all three images. Here is what I came up with. I like it.
I love it! The sash around the dress is inspired!
ReplyDeleteSusan - this is great - and very creative how you used different pieces - I agree it is best not to look at others stuff ( but obviously I have!). I was playing with the graphics last night and think I know what I will do...Well Done! Jewels
ReplyDeleteI like your collage very much too! Funny, I do the same thing with comments I write on blogs -I try not to look at what other people said first so i can some up with my own words : ))) I like the combination of background papers you have as they are a good contrast for the photo. And the old print of the leafy branch looks great cut out! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the border you have made around the main image. I agree the sash is inspired!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about doing your own thing first.... I always do my 'thing' first then look at everyone elses!!!!
