Yay! Time for another collage challenge from Mary Green at
Greenpaper! I started out thinking pink but ended up with blue and purple. I colored the black and white image of Miss Helen Pitkin with chalk and colored pencils. I found the music background on
The Graphics Fairy website. The gorgeous purple background is from Mary's collage class. I made her ticket to the opera a little smaller and added a tiny flower from the third piece. Her date can wear it on his lapel.
I also added a piece of lace for her seat cushion and a little Stickles to make her pin shiney. If you would like to see the images for the challenge and the other entries, just look
here.
I really like how this turned out - the flowers on the ticket are a nice touch. Still seeing if I can squeeze my own version in before the deadline! J
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the subtle colors and the purple background, everything goes together so well!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Susan. I really like the contrast between the purple background (frame)and the sepia tone image of Miss Helen. It works so well! Thank you for your visits and comments on my blog, I really appreciate it!! : ) lenna

Beautiful combinations for your collage! I love the lace on her cushion - she absolutely had to have an elegant cushion, don't you agree?
ReplyDeleteReally adore the purple and the text you put in the background. The word, opera, is in such an oportune spot. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, really speaks of Summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for entering my giveaway and best of luck!
