I made a quick project this week in preparation for Halloween. I saw these really pretty decoupaged pumpkins on the October Country Living Magazine and I wanted to try one. They used large fake pumpkins which are $10-$20. I'm on a tight budget right now so decided to buy a small $1.47 paper mache pumpkin.
Then I tore up book pages and glued them on.
Actually, that part wasn't quick! This is also where I realized I was covering paper mache with paper mache.
I added some other stickers and stamps and tied a bow on top and that's it. Oh, I also outlined the ladies with a glittery gelly roll pen and painted the stem black.
Looking forward to making something else for Halloween. Now I need to hurry and get downstairs where there is a fire burning. It's getting cold!! Have a great weekend!!!
I'm linking this to Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy! Check out what everyone else has made with the beautiful images available on her site!
Very cool Sue!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on your pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! This looks a project I could maybe possibly do with the kids?!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Yes, Peg this would be really fun to do with the kids. I just used white glue mixed with water and book pages so you don't need anything fancy. Have fun and if you make them I want to see pictures!
